The evaluation process, developed and revised yearly by the Personnel Evaluation Steering Committee, supports the mission of the Ouachita Parish School System and its commitment to quality education. All professional personnel receive an Accountability Notebook that include the rules and regulations that is in compliance with the Guidelines for Personnel Evaluation, Revised 1994, (Bulletin 1525), from the Louisiana State Department of Education. The evaluation process is an on going shared process between the evaluator and the evaluatee aimed at improving instruction in the learning environment of all students. Because of Louisiana’s Educational Reform the job descriptions for all professional personnel will be reviewed and revised, if necessary, to fit the new Louisiana Components of Effective Teaching (LCET) that is scheduled to go into effect by, July, 1999.
