Child Welfare & Attendance
Medication in Schools

The Ouachita Parish School Board has policies that govern students being given or taking both prescription and/or over-the-counter medications. These policies are strictly enforced and must be followed.

Students and/or parents should contact a school official before taking or sending any medication to the school. Failure to comply with these policies can result in student suspension or expulsion.
