Swayze Principal Represents Parish

Marquita Bowman, Principal of Swayze Elementary School, was recently chosen to join the State Superintendent’s Principals Advisory Group. The purpose of the newly developed group is to provide the "voice" of the principal in state level discussions and decision-making around policy and best practices. The group will assist Superintendent Paul Pastorek in achieving the Department's vision of a world-class education system and its mission to increase student achievement, to eliminate the achievement gap, and to prepare students to be effective citizens in a global market. Bowman was chosen for being principal of a state-recognized high poverty/high performing school. Congratulations!
