Woodlawn Fourth Graders Travel to Houston
Posted on Friday, May 09 @ 15:51:28 CDT by aline

OPSB News The fourth graders of Woodlawn Elementary traveled to Houston, Texas May 2-3. On Friday, they visited the Museum of Natural Science where students were able to view exhibits and experience the butterfly center. Friday night, students watched the Houston Astros play the Milwaukee Brewers at Minute Maid Park. As part of a special promotion that night, students received Astros jerseys and were treated to a fireworks show at the end of the game. On Saturday, the fourth graders traveled to Johnson Space Center, where they learned about NASA and the space program. This visit included a tram ride around the space center and a visit to mission control. The students ended their trip at Kemah Boardwalk, on Galveston Bay. Thanks to Mrs. Stephanie Cobb, our fourth grade math teacher, who made this trip possible!
