Music Conference Offers Clinics for School Administrators

OPSB News The 3rd Annual South Central Regional Music Conference will be held at the Monroe Civic Center February 21-23, 2008. Clinics for School Administrators will be offered as follows:

Thursday, February 21, 2008:

9:00 - The Role of School Administrators in Music Education

11:00 - Luncheon at the West Monroe Convention Center - Dr. Robert Duke, Keynote Speaker (RSVP required for lunch)

1:00 - Opening Ceremonies - Monroe Civic Center - Dr. Robert Duke, Keynote Speaker

Friday, February 22, 2008:

10:00 - Psychology and Music - Mrs. Connie Cassels and Mr. Sam Tingle, Ouachita Parish School System Psychologists, Presenters

1:00 - Public Relations in Music Education - Dr. James Taylor, Southern University in Baton Rouge, Presenter; and Mr. Richard Baker, La. Department of Education Fine Arts Coordinator, Presenter

Saturday, February 23, 2008:
