WRMS Cheerleaders Place First in National Competition

The West Ridge Middle School Cheerleaders recently attended Deep South National Cheer and Dance Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. The girls competed in the junior high advanced division and won FIRST PLACE. It was their first time to compete!!! They worked very hard to prepare for competition. The team consists of fourteen girls in both seventh and eighth grades. They are Taylor Hines (captain), Anna Kirksey (co-captain), Kaitlyn Foster, Madison Blackburn, Sarah Torregrossa, Alex Howell, Marisa Kilcrease, Courtney Hay, Maddie Hogg, Caitlin Tindell, Annamaria Hutson, Kristen Toms, Kelsey Coon, and Rachel David. The school sponsor is Jennifer Waldroup, and the cheer coach is Kristin Locantro.
