On November 3 Robinson Elementary held its 2nd annual "I Can Learn" Extravaganza. Our theme was Heroes In Our Community Restoring the Value of Education and Building Self Esteem. Parents and students had an opportunity to visit over 15 different exhibits that provided information about educational and community resources available to them. Community leaders such as Dr. Bob Webber, Mayor Jamie Mayo, and Mayor Ed Harris were on tap for the occasion. Entertainment was provided by Mr. Al Cherry (Richwood High School Instructor) and Robinson's cheerleading squad. Special thanks to the Ouachita Parish School Board, Dr. Bob Webber, Rev. John Russell, Cleoria Dunn (committee chairperson), and the faculty and staff of Robinson Elementary School for making this event a great success. Proceeds and donations from the event will be used to purchase school uniforms and school supplies for students at Robinson.
