The Character Counts team of students at Sterlington High School recently held a "mystery dinner theater" play to raise funds to be donated to St. Jude's Hospital. The students involved in the organization held auditions for parts in the play and worked together with their sponsors to plan for the event, which was a resounding success! The actors and actresses entertained an audience with the play "Inspector Detector and the Case of the Precious Treasure," which was presented in two acts. During an intermission between the acts, the Character Counts team served a delicious lasagna dinner to members of the audience. Sterlington High School and the Characters Counts organization owe a special "thank you" to several individuals and businesses whose donations helped to make the event a success. The school is especially thrilled to learn that Wal-Mart, who had promised to match the amount of money raised from the ticket sales, will present to the school a check for $1000. This contribution, added to the funds that the students already raised, result in a total of $2000, which will be presented to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Congratulations to Sterlington High School's Character Counts team on a job well done!
