OJHS Wins 2nd Place in State Chess Tournament

The Ouachita Junior High School Chess Club recently competed in the 2007 Louisiana State Scholastic Team and Individual Chess Championships Tournament at De La Salle High School in New Orleans. The team competed in the K-8 under 800 category and won a 2nd place trophy out of nine teams. Congratulations to chess team members Andrew Boyles, Ryan Hutto, Jonathan Weems, John Wilson, and Ian Hatcher.
