OPSB.net - OPSS ANNOUNCES STUDENTS OF THE YEAR

Ouachita Parish School System recently recognized Students of the Year from each school in a luncheon with Louisiana flair. A record crowd joined the celebration adorned in decoration depicting all things Louisiana including the New Orleans Saints, Mardi Gras, and LSU! The program included a tribute to music of the state performed by West Monroe High School Band and Choir students led by Robby Freeman and Greg Oden, respectively.

Congratulations to the 2006-07 Ouachita Parish Students of the Year:

Elementary: Matthew Thornhill of Drew Elementary

Middle School: Alyssa Leader of Good Hope Middle

High School: Eric Hill of Sterlington High

These three students will represent Ouachita Parish in regional competition in February.
