Swayze Elementary Student Council spent a day at Pecanland Mall in December ringing bells for the Salvation Army. The 30 students were posted at the doors of Sear's, J.C. Penney's and Belk. The students took turns greeting shoppers with Christmas Carols and helping with doors and packages. The student's bright and cheery attitudes along with their colorful honor attire contributed in raising quite large sums for the kettles according to the director. This is an annual service project for the council. Thanks to the sponsors and chaperones that assisted in making this a memorable event.
