The strings took two groups, one of which was composed of all beginners. The second string group was composed of student players from West Ridge, Good Hope and West Monroe High School. Mr. John Jowers is the director of both of these groups. The West Ridge Concert Band, under the direction of Mrs. Debbie Graves, also received straight "ones" for their performance and received the fourth consecutive sweepstakes trophy for the school since the West Ridge School has been established. This group is composed of 7th and 8th graders and will present their festival music at their Spring Concert April 25th.
