WOHS Football Players Earn Academic Honors

West Ouachita High School is pleased to announce that five 2005 football players have been named to the LHSAA All Academic Team.
Matt Currie - 4.0 GPA - First Team Defense
Mason Coker - 3.5 GPA - First Team Center
Jamie Johnson - 3.7 GPA - First Team Receiver
T. D. Tumey - 3.0 GPA - Honorable Mention Quarterback
Lance Lebeff - 3.0 GPA - Honorable Mention Line Backer
Additionally, Matt Currie was named to the Composite All State Academic Team. He will be honored at this week's LHSAA Hall of Fame Banquet. Matt will also be honored at the East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport in February by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. He will receive a $500 scholarship for his athletic and academic achievements.
Congratulations to all of these young men for maintaining high academic and athletic standards!
