Fathers' Day Out at Robinson Elementary

Robinson Elementary recently held its annual Fathers' Day Out Activity. There were over 80 dads, granddads, uncles, big brothers, or surrogates in attendance. The half-day event started with an informative session presented by Mrs. Vanessa Cade (Reading Math Coordinator) and Mrs. Shirley Brown (Library Media Specialist). Fathers were encouraged to take an active role in the education of their children and given tips on how to do this. They were invited to read to students in the classroom or library, take AR test with students, visit in the computer labs and do class work. Then, most of the fathers stayed for Thanksgiving Dinner. The event was a huge success.
