WOODLAWN ELEM.'S WARRIOR COUNCIL ELECTIONS

OPSB News Woodlawn Elementary held its first student council elections. Fourth and fifth grade students "campaigned" throughout the month of October with activities such as making posters, writing and giving speeches, and then voting. Parents and students listened to candidates voice what they would do for Woodlawn Elementary... if elected.

The results are as follows: President; Laynie Sims (5th grade), Vice-Pres.; Erin Dunn (5th Grade) and Colby Nichols (4th Grade), Treasurer; Taylor Brown (5th Grade) and Kaitlyn Parker (4th Grade), Secretary; Kailee McDonald (4th), Reporter; Tristen Waldrop (5th) and Maggie Harris (4th), and Parliamentarian; Wade Seay (5th) and Connor Wilkes (4th).

Each student that ran for an office and gave a speech is a winner. Woodlawn Elementary is very proud of all these students. Sponsors: Mrs. Tina Ford and Mrs. Laura McFarland.
