U. S. D. O. E. Recognizes Pinecrest Teacher

OPSB News Lamar Cranston, science teacher at Pinecrest School in West Ouachita Parish, was recognized by the United States Department of Education as an American Star of Teaching. The national program honors teachers across all grade levels and disciplines. One teacher is recognized in every state and the District of Columbia. A committee of former teachers at the U.S.D.O.E. selected the American Stars from among 2,000 nominations based on their success in improving academic performance and making a difference in their student's lives. Congratulations to Lamar who is well-deserving of the honor.
