OPHS Students Recognized in National Program

OUACHITA PARISH HIGH SCHOOL is proud to announce that three of our seniors are being recognized by the 2006 National Merit Scholarship Program.
ERIKA KNOTT, daughter of Stephen and Janet Knott, has been named as a National Merit Semifinalist, and will continue in the competition for some 8,200 Merit Scholarship Awards.
ADAM WHEAT, son of Samuel and Patti Wheat, has been recognized as a Commended Student in the program by placing in the top 5% of more than one million students who entered the competition.
ZIPPORAH JOHNSON, daughter of Otis and Helen Johnson, has been recognized for her Academic Promise by the National Achievement Scholarship Program due to her scoring in the top 5% of more than 130,000 black Americans participating.
