In an effort to help the many evacuees and victims of Hurricane Katrina, Superintendent Robert Webber and the Ouachita Parish School System are spearheading a parishwide collection campaign. Each of our school sites, as well as other locations within the system, will collect items desperately needed for relief efforts. These items will be delivered to our local Red Cross office for distribution among evacuees fleeing to our parish, and to be sent to those parishes hardest hit in the southern area of our state.
According to the local Red Cross Office, these items are needed: Bottled Water, Canned Soda, Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, soap, etc.), Diapers, Wipes, Snacks (individually wrapped)
