ANGUS CHEMICAL SPONSORS SHS BASKETBALL
Posted on Sunday, April 24 @ 11:45:54 CDT by aline

OPSB News The ANGUS Chemical Company recognizes its corporate responsibility to be a good neighbor and therefore strive to improve the quality of life and contribute to the needs in the communities in which we operate. Because of this, ANGUS is announcing the sponsorship of the ANGUS Chemical - Sterlington High School Basketball Invitational Tournament to be held in late 2005. This tournament will involve 46 (estimated) high school basketball teams from the state, and ANGUS is donating $6,000 to sponsor the event. Presenting the check for ANGUS Chemical (see picture) were: Billy Duncan, Vice President; Edith Gray, Site Accountant; and Joyce Priest, HR Site Services Leader. They are pictured with Superintendent Robert Webber, Principal Ross Davis, and Louisiana Representative Mike Walsworth.

ANGUS Chemical's relationship with Sterlington High School is an example of our commitment to improving the quality of life and needs in the Sterlington community. ANGUS appreciates the privilege to partner with Sterlington High as their adopted school in ways such as scholarships, sponsorship of educational programs, and sponsorship of athletic programs. According to Billy Duncan, Vice President, "ANGUS and our employees enjoy this relationship whereby we have an opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people in the community."
