Author Visits Central, Boley

Award winning children's author, Mike Artell, recently visited Central and Boley. He then spoke with teachers across the north Louisiana area at the NELRC meeting. His message to students is that they can do anything, if they just believe in themselves. He shared bits and pieces of his life as a student and now as an author and showed students how to draw cartoons and use these to help express feelings. With teachers he shared the importance of a sense of humor and believing in students. The students, teachers and parents attending the presentations were delighted to have had a chance to visit with him, purchase his books and have them autographed. Artell writes non-fiction as well as fiction books.
