OPSB.net - WMHS Rebelaire receives honor

West Monroe High School’s 2004 yearbook, Rebelaire, was inducted into Walsworth Publishing Company’s Gallery of Excellence.

The books included in the Gallery of Excellence represent a small percentage of all yearbooks published by Walsworth. These yearbooks are used nationwide as quality examples, are loaned to schools across the country to serve as idea generators, and are often displayed at regional, state, and national conventions and workshops. Also, spreads from many of these yearbooks are used for example illustrations in Walsworth’s Educational Advantage resource materials.

“This induction marks the second time we have received this honor since I have advised the yearbook staff. The Gallery of Excellence Award rewards the hard work and dedication of the entire 2004 Rebelaire staff. I am pleased that the efforts of the staff were recognized with this distinction,” said Mrs. Tammy Binns, Rebelaire adviser.

Walworth’s Gallery of Excellence recognized those books that expemplify excellence through their comprehensive coverage, innovative design and superior copy and photography.

"It is a privilege to have been chosen for this award. It is my goal that this year’s Rebelaire can achieve the same success,” said Senior CariBeth Winters, 2005 Rebelaire editor.
