News: Three SHS Students Receive Howard Hughes Scholarships

Three juniors from Sterlington High School were selected to participate in the Howard Hughes Program at ULM this summer. Each week in the month of June they will get hands-on practice in a different area of science. For instance, one week is devoted to palpatating turtles while another week concentrates on DNA and forensics. These students will be paid $1,000 and will receive college credit.
Sterlington is very proud of Kaleb Hamby, Shannon Darmstaedter, and Michal Meade.
