Itís The Most Wonderful Time of The Year
Posted on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 @ 14:12:33 CST by aline

OPSB News December 16, Swartz 5th graders treated our schoolís entire staff to a festival of joyous Christmas songs. Teachers, support staff, and families of 5th grade students who had lead roles came to see the Christmas Musical which was masterfully conducted by Mrs. Kim Nielsen. A medley of traditional and contemporary songs streamed from the stage and the cafeteria seats from where 3rd and 4th graders sang. Solos revealed even more talent!

The children were fabulous. In turn, they made us laugh with their sense of humor and also they made us a bit emotionalÖ All in all, they delighted us with their creativity and forte. Once the Musical was over, Mrs. Skelton, Principal, and Mrs. Beezley, Assistant Principal, each performed. Each song reminded us of how talented they are but also of the true meaning of Christmas.

We all thank Swartz students for such a special and entertaining gift! Special thanks go to Mrs. Nielsen who has been tirelessly working with all the children. Also, thanks go to Mrs. Tannehill, our music & choir teacher, who helmed the sound system and, finally, thanks to everyone involved!

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy, Safe Holidays!
